Necklace “Plum Fig”

A layered composition made to be discovered detail by detail: deep garnet tones, dark pearls, the cool gleam of metal and clear crystals. Natural garnet is paired with Murano glass accents in rich wine tones, sugar-like textures and a glossy black heart. At the centre is a plum-toned Murano glass fig with a metallic sheen. The effect develops during the making of the bead: as the glass is worked in the flame, the plum colour takes on a complex metallic lustre. Three strands — natural garnet, dark pearls and a zirconia tennis chain — come together in a layered necklace. The fig is removable, so the necklace can be worn with or without the pendant, leaving the layered combination of garnet, pearls and chains to stand on its own.
